Next day arrive in Rock im Park another great festival on the club stage this one’s even bigger it’s a small sports stadium we got the best place today because the god of rock threw down buckets of rain on our heads. with echo’s of lets have a drink tomorrow the last thing we said the gig got under way with airborne another great set got a call from Steve who I think is larses assistant we should get together with the boys again which was cool. the fans here were brilliant as well place was ram packed 40 minutes again want the set list

Watched paramore tonight great band. went to see metallica again don’t think they relies how big a fans of them we are another great show but they were busy like you get in our business you wait around then all hell breaks loose anyway where hanging around waiting and suddenly they shoot out of a door strait past then turn back shake all our hands blast of in 4 mercs so we went of to the after show collecting along the way Joel from airborne Mick from the tattoos and enter what appears to be native huts any way they don’t serve wine which is a bummer as I’m complaining about this to anybody who will listen which is no one Mick says I’ve got a bottle of wine in my bag and nibbs pipes up what temperature is it Mick and myself answer f!!!!!!king bag temperature so with said bottle in hand went of to find a glass.
Met loads of people who watched our show and said it was great had a good time with the stereophonics talking about Wales had a great chat with Anders from in flames about things mostly nibbs drinking he’s a big drinking buddy of theirs, by this time the wine was gone I’m far too generous with the stuff anyway met a guy from island blagna or something a lighting designer who introduced me to Kate Nash who had some wine she was on about sugar or something she gave me a glass of wine nice girl best one of the night was me and Joel met the bass player from the babyshambles troy I think his name was said they felt strange among so many metal bands and I kept calling the the band the babyshams whoops sorry I said collapsing in a fit of giggles..ok you might think this is weird but the weekend wasn’t all about us back home two of my children are at a music school in the evenings they have a band Sebastian who is ten is a drummer and Stephanie who is thirteen is the bass player, the band had there first gig on Friday so in-between all what was going on I was frantically trying to ring to find out how it was, no luck answer phone on finally got in touch they said it was great ram packed very proud of them all there school friends were there phoned up on Saturday to ask how things were can’t talk now sue said why is there a problem I said she said no where of to the next gig they’ve got another one I said, another gig well ya said sue disconnecting me.
did’nt want to be the last ones to leave the bar headed of to the tour bus (now this is were fate comes in) doing festivals can be brutal on singers so I said to Thomas maybe I could have an hotel and try to sleep as I was singing when I got back to the studio we went to the holiday inn in nürnburg with Mick from the tatts finally got a wine from the porter sat in the lobby about 2am Thomas gets a text are you still up for a drink we furiously text back were are we’ll come to you came the answer so at 3am in walked lars and Steve we talked about old times metalica Saxon rose tattoo until 6.30am made friends made plans to defiantly play together
In the future they could jam motorcycle man with us that would be great so a great weekend having a drink and a talk with some nice people once again we have to say thanks to all the guys in metalica for making us welcome at two of there shows f!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!king full on.
