nigel-corner.jpgAGALLOCH.

Agalloch hail from Portland, Oregon - how to describe their music? - i’d say it was heady mixture of Metal, Goth, and Prog rock - they use a lot of acoustic guitars mixed in with electrics, and build melody upon melody - vocally, they have a mixture of multi-layered voices and, what i can only call semi-death/whispered vocals.

I’ve bought their three albums,Pale Folklore, The Mantle, and Ashes against The Grain, having first come across the band whilst searching for something else on Amazon.

I think they’re quite unique and i like ‘em!

nigel-corner.jpgFormed out of the ashes of ‘Pride’, this Worthing/Brighton based band, on first listening, sound like a cross between King’s X and The Black Label Society - no bad thing there!! - but you make up your own mind!

I’ve known cousins Simon and Lee Farmery for years and watched their progress in various local bands - they’re a superb, tight rhythm section and Chris Green, the guitarist plays some quite brilliant guitar behind the powerful vocals of Matt Mitchell.

They’ve been gigging around the UK and have released an EP called ‘32 Hours’ - go and check out their site and grab a copy of the cd!!!!

nigel-corner.jpgWelcome to my little corner of the tour bus!

Here you’ll find my thoughts, info, and links to bands that i’ve been listening to while on tour - we often get demos given to us so some of these may be included, but i’ll also use this feature to draw your attention to lesser known bands who maybe deserve being checked out.
