I was thinking of festivals perhaps?
Well its about that time for the riffking winners first of all we would like to thank everybody that entered, it has been really hard to pick a winner there have been some great solos I know some people wont agree with the choices but that’s how it goes.
Just like to say thanks to everybody for coming to see us on the second tour of the uk this year packed houses and crazy fans a really great tour, special thanks to our Canadian brothers anvil for rocking with us(has anybody got lips playing D&L on u tube yet) and suidaka, a very special, thanks to our crew who looked after all three bands keeping it all on time it can be a nightmare if things don’t run smooth on tour.ok riffking we will announce the top five winners and there prizes next week one a week until we get to number 1.
Band news
We are starting writing songs for the next album next week also mixing all the live recordings heavy metal thunder the movie,wacken 2004,2007,2009 and Sheffield also listening to old recordings and mixing them.we are hoping to be playing some festivals around the world next year, we were thinking to maybe play all the tracks of wheels of steel (and or strong arm) as a special it is the 30th anniversary of those albums and the nwobhm although we don’t want to live on past glories we cannot ignore the influence this period of British rock had around the globe what do you think should we do this or not.

sorry for all the problems with changing the dates, on another note since spv went bankrupt the riff king contest has been a bit quiet so we have taken over now and we have chosen 5 finalists I will name the winner on my blog before the uk tour.
There will prizes for runners up as well. So keep the faith and whooooo!! I almost forgot you can give us your ideas for a set list for uk if you like 14 songs no more please we need a vote as well.

The waiting was over!
Back in London or the smoke as they used to call it ( I think it refers to the smog ) I went to see metalica at the O2. Great gig a funny thing happened in the afternoon i went to the great frog to see if the ring was ready, i was looking around thinking if i was too old to have a tattoo (i don’t know what do you think) on my arm or something celtic, anyway there i was staring at the rings and bracelets, out of the corner of my eye i noticed some dude dressed in black standing at the side of me.

Hi from the road great gig at knebworth we got stuck in traffic on the way to the show us and crew got to the festival with 10 minutes to go just made it on stage in time no drums on first song adrenaline pumping 30 minutes but the crowd were brill just heard the recording sounds great going out on absolute radio soon.
Some confusion on the Spanish dates they have been changed if any body has booked flights and cant change them send Thomas an e mail on the management site (its on the cd sleeve) we may be able to help in Belgium on Saturday and then bloodstock.
You may have heard the film heavy metal thunder the movie is nearing completion you can pre order it on the site and get your name on the sleeve The price is a pre order price so it may go up later and you will get it delivered to your door the first 2000 orders will get a free tour poster.

Just a few words we are having a great year so far, some good things coming up keep your eyes on the tour dates.
The Riff King contest is over and Doug and Paul have chosen 50 solos. These will be voted for soon on Youtube, we are having trouble with SPV regarding there bankruptcy, but we hope to be back with more news soon!

Ok then can you bake my tapes? Course! You can bring them over tomorrow after lunch.

We sipped our tea and looked at the box lost for 30 years once more back with its creators. We peeled back the lid there it was the thing we desired, a cornish pasty Thomas grabbed it and stuff it in his mouth like a great white shark. Thomas a slick sharp predator on the top of the food chain, stop it i cried the tape! There it was the metal rim glinting in the half light AMPEX TWO INCH MASTER it said on the front taking us back to a time before digital. On the the back in smaller writing it said saxon round house studios with a track sheet, 24 tracks bass drums etc etc, what was on it who knows, GEMS screamed Thomas!
